Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This privacy policy explains how onelode ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website or contact us. We are committed to handling your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

Who we are

onelode is a software service operated in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can contact us at hello@onelode.co.uk.

What data we collect

We only collect data that you provide to us directly. When you submit the contact form on our website, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The plan you are interested in
  • The message you write to us

Cookies

We use one cookie, and only when you open the contact page. It lets our server check that a form submission really came from our own contact page, which stops automated spam. It contains a random identifier, not your name or email, and it is deleted after 24 hours. Because it is strictly necessary for the form to work securely, it does not need your consent. We do not use advertising, tracking or social media cookies.

Counting visits

We count how many times each page of this website is viewed. For each view we store only the page's address (for example the home page) and the time. We do not store your IP address, browser details or anything else that could identify you, and we do not use any third-party analytics service.

Why we collect it and our legal basis

We collect your contact details solely to respond to your enquiry. Our legal basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests — you have chosen to contact us, and we have a legitimate interest in responding to you.

We will never use your contact details to send you marketing emails or share them with third parties for their own purposes.

How we use your data

Your enquiry details are used only to respond to your message. We do not add you to any mailing list, pass your details to any third-party marketers, or use your data for any automated decision-making.

Your enquiry is delivered to our inbox via Resend (resend.com), a transactional email service. Resend processes your data as a data processor on our behalf. You can read their privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

If you are a onelode customer

To run the service for your shop we process data from your eBay account and your website, including your listings and your orders. Orders contain your buyers' names, addresses and what they bought. You are responsible for that data and we process it on your behalf, only to provide the service: syncing your listings, removing sold items and showing your orders. We never use it for marketing or sell it to anyone.

Your eBay connection details are stored encrypted. Each night we take an encrypted backup of our databases, kept for 14 days, so your data can be recovered if something goes wrong.

How long we keep your data

We retain enquiry emails for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will do so promptly.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Objection — object to our use of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@onelode.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of our website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
